What is Robot.txt in Blogger?

Robot.txt is a File which helps us to maintain Crawling and indexing of blog in Search Engines like Google,Yahoo,Bing etc. As the Google spiders come to your blog and check Robot.txt and analyze those protocols. After completion of analyzing your blog then your blog will start Crawling and Indexing of your blog in various search engines. For blogger the default Robot.txt file is as below. You can add Robot.txt file in blogger as shown below.

The default Code is as shown below. Copy the below code.

  How To ADD Robot.txt In Blogger:

User-agent: Mediapartners-Google
Disallow:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Allow: /
Sitemap: http://yoursite.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?orderby=UPDATED

How To Enable Robot.txt in Blogger:

1. Go to Dashboard--Settings--Preferences
2. You can see Custom Robot.txt. Then click on Edit.
3. Paste  the Robot.txt File copied above and click save.
4. Hence Robot.txt file is enabled in your blogger.
