The Desire line long dresses today with a new model that aims to photographic excellence. This is HTC Desire Eye, a new smartphone with two cameras that aim high, and clear.

In a size that fits the usual fork and high-end, over the 5-inch diagonal and over added in the photographic section that make it deserve its name. Among them, his monumental 13-megapixel front camera.

The HTC Desire Eye comes as a rather large phone, given by a 151.7 x 73.8 plant millimeters and a thickness that can be placed in the standard, with 8.5 millimeters. It weighs 154 grams, light for its size.
The screen is 5.2 inches diagonal full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080) and IPS technology, with which we have had good experiences in the past, and good 424 dots per inch.
Inside we have a 801 Snapdragon quad-core processor 2.3 GHz, we see in other great phones on the market, together with its Adreno 330 most frequent and 2GB of RAM.
The device runs on the 16GB of internal storage, although this can be extended by microSD up to 128 GB.
One of the weakest points is perhaps its battery, just 2,400 mAh and we reserve fund to try to assess whether we hold one day.
HTC here retains the sound Boomsound, though reducing the role of the stereo speakers on the front. Now is a fine line where the screen is fused to the upper and lower frames.
IPX7 water resistance and dust is also added (not confirmed dust), which allow the Eye immersed in a meter for half an hour. Other features include WiFi b / g / n dual band, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA support and a slot for a SIM card into nano format. Comes with the latest version of Android available, 4.4 (Kitkat).

But the real muscle of this phone comes in the photographic section where HTC takes a couple of years trying to distance himself from the rest with interesting bets as Ultrapixel. The Eye comes now doubling cameras, both in 13 megapixels with flash and dual tone we see in the HTC One.
The rear camera has aperture f / 2.0 and a standard focal length of 28mm. While the front has an opening slightly smaller f / 2.2, captures a wider angle, with its goal of 22 mm, allowing us to take snapshots with more people.

The cameras now have a button dedicated to them, which you can configure to choose which of the two shoot cameras.
It is in the software where the camera is really squeezed. HTC has thought of the video to get all the juice to this camera. With Face Tracking The Eye pursue our face, and cut and use a final image remastered 2 megapixels (full HD), so we are always focused.
Of course, HTC has thought selfie, enhanced with its dual flash in a warmer tone, and voice commands to be our catch fire (in Spanish will be potato smiles and photo) and our videos (video, action).
The Eye also includes the ability to record video with two cameras simultaneously. With this feature we added a video to our side on this, and we can also manually add this.
They get another couple of interesting features like Recórtame, which includes a picture into another picture, another taking four sacks and recomposed to photobooth mode and Face Fusion, who composed two portraits to improve image quality.
These improvements will also be available in other brand devices like HTC One M8 (which may yet). In the other devices will go as hardware capabilities.
HTC Desire Eye availability and price
The HTC Desire Eye comes with a touch of color, so far the brand had booked their scores with Windows, one in white and red, the other in two shades of blue, both quite striking.
While we still have no availability data for this device, HTC is expected to take the Eye the market soon at a price of 549 euros.
